A Report on the Return to Al-Sikka Library

Monday 12 April 2021 by Rania

When the children returned to the library, positive energy and liveliness returned to the place. With excitement, joy, and desire to benefit from reading books and the getting knowledge. and culture, from story reading, playing, having fun and entertainment.
Children returned to the library after long weeks of lockdown due to the Covid -19 pandemic. We prepared the library with safety measures and sterilization. Children were looking forward with passion to reading stories that will take them to places where they feel quietness and comfort and through reading they fly to another world free of suffering, without chains or barriers.

There were a lot of activities: workshops for raising awareness about the Corona virus, how to spend lockdown times and ways of making use of free time. There was also an activity of drawing where the children expressed themselves and their talent. We also read and discussed different stories; we are going on with many activities which are varied and targeting stress release.

Note that there are some pictures of the activities attached and we will resume communication gradually if God be willing. We hope for safety to everyone.
